SHAVONNE — ROYALTY 4 • MOTHERHOOD • NEW ERA
You recently wrapped filming Royalty 4. What was it like stepping back into that environment after so many years away? How did it feel being around so many strong personalities again, especially after not seeing some of the girls in that type of setting for a long time?
Shavonne:
Well first off thank you so much for the love and encouraging words and flowers. I appreciate everyone who has sent all warm messages to me and my fiancé on our bundle of joy. We actually filmed Royalty a while ago lol it's about to be a year since we filmed that show and honestly for me, I'm used to doing reality tv. So personally, I didn't feel no different or was nervous. I've been in the industry for a long time so I already know what productions can throw your way and to always be prepared for the unexpected... So doing Royalty 4 after doing Royalty 2, I knew what the experienced entailed and was all amped for being recorded and on the cameras again honestly. It was a fun experience and I regret nothing I did.
Out of the Royalty cast, who do you still keep in touch with today? Were there any relationships that surprised you—either rekindled or newly formed?
Shavonne:
I keep in touch with Myamee here and there through twitter, Me and Rosey mended our issues and move past the drama... Kiara and I kept in contact for business purposes and a replacement that you'll see on the later episodes... I cant say much since it hasnt fully aired yet...
Your pregnancy photos went viral, and rightfully so—you looked absolutely amazing. That glow is real! How did it feel seeing such a positive response from fans, and what does this moment mean to you personally?
Shavonne:
I honestly didnt expect so many people to encore the shoot, it was literally put together so last minute and we just wanted to announce the pregnancy in a snazzy way lol. To me personally, bearing a child is something I loathed for a while and Talking to my fiancé, I do feel hes deserving of a child, With relationship comes some sort of compromise and I didnt want him to feel he couldnt continue his legacy with me. I am one of the bombest parents to hit twitter, and EVERYONE respects me for being a mom about her business for her child... So I gave in lol and Im happy I did because it made Derrick and Chase Happy and I know they're excited to meet Faith lol
How has pregnancy been treating you so far—physically, emotionally, and mentally? Has anything surprised you about this experience?
Shavonne:
Motherhood has shaped how I conduct my business, not how I operate. I, as a parent will always teach my kids to defend themselves even when they feel the odds are against them... HOW you go about it, is what makes you as a person. I've built my rapport on never disrespecting those who helped me but will stand on how firmly I feel.... THATS why I've been in the industry for so long... always listen and never be so fast to judge... THESE are WORDS from the great. As far as what I want next.... idk lmfao I done did damn near everything forreal
Have you thought about any baby names yet, or are you keeping that part private for now?
Shavonne:
The baby's name is Faith because she gave me Faith on becoming a mom again.. It was Faith that helped us become parents. Me and My Fiancé understood everything that happened in our life happened for a reason and it was FAITH that brought us together... so we named her Faith
